Serums - What are they good for?

I recently ran out of the serum I've been using and decided to try to find a new one, which always ends up being kind of a process.  It's not that I dislike this serum but more that I wasn't obsessed with it.  To be honest I have yet to find a serum that I have bought more than two times...I know I'm kind of picky with my beauty products.

So after polling my friends and trying to remember the ones that were in my beauty regime at one point, I narrowed my choices down on what I was looking for.   Dr. Jart + Ceramidin Liquid is a serum I have been using in my morning routine because it helps me stay hydrated but not oily during the day but I was looking more for a night one that helps with acne, wrinkles and all that jazz.

While the Estee Lauder  and Clinque  serums both have great reviews - I used to use the Clinque one, I decided that I don't really need super anti-anging stuff yet.  After reading all the reviews online, I decided to go with the Bobbi Brown serum since its a good price point and helps with a variety of skin problems - it brightens, helps with wrinkles and decreases acne.  I'll be sure to let y'all know how it goes!

Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Supplement // Philosophy 'help me'

  1. I've been wanting to try the fresh brand but haven't yet. I use Acure face serum and it has worked wonders for my face which is on the dry side.

  2. Such a great and informative post! I've often wondered about serums and this was very helpful.
