Game Night is a quasi-tradition with my group friends in the winter when it’s too cold to do anything – going out with a million and one layers on isn't nearly as much fun. There are few things in this world that are better than good food, good friends and lots of laughs and trust me, game night has all of these! We typically make a delicious pizza and salad dinner; with this salad dish and these servers can you get a cuter display – it basically is guaranteed to make your salad taste better. Since my group of friends consists of both girls and guys, we try to accommodate for both and get some fun vino and champs for the girls (these cocktail napkins are just begging for a glass of champagne) and some beer for the guys (let’s be honest though everyone drinks everything, fall seasonal beer is just too good to pass up!)
Now that we have the food and drinks covered, it's on to the central item of the night - the games! Right now I’m obsessed with Cards Against Humanity, which is like a highly inappropriate game of Apples to Apples. I am also itching to try this new card game, Linkee - which btw I found in the latest edition of Tatler Magazine (yes, I read a British magazine). Linkee is self-described as a “super simple shouty outy quiz game” – the description alone makes me want to play (the actual game involves making a link between four separate questions).
No game night is complete without a playlist of the latest songs - and of course some old throwback ones are thrown in too! How much more amazing would any song be though if it's playing from this iPod player – I really hope it becomes available again because I’m sorry it’s just way cuter than a boring iHome.
So, if you and your friends are bored tonight, make a quick trip to a Target or Walmart and pick up some fun games - I guarantee you won't be disappointed!
